Product Overview
The 3TG-4 Garden Management Machine is a self-propelled, walk-behind multi-purpose tiller designed for orchards, vegetable plots, greenhouses, tea plantations, nurseries, as well as hilly terrain and small fragmented fields. Built on a single-axle wheeled chassis, it is powered by a 4.0 kW horizontal diesel engine that drives the tine shaft through a belt-and-chain transmission and a friction-plate main clutch. The operator controls direction, clutch and throttle from the rear handlebars. With a compact frame and agile turning radius, it works easily between tree rows, under greenhouse frames and in narrow plots where large tractors cannot enter. It is the ideal replacement for animal-drawn and manual labor in intensive small-scale farming.
Key Features
Compact frame, outstanding accessibility. Measuring about 1.6 m long and 0.75 m wide, with a structural weight of around 130 kg, the machine turns sharply and passes freely between orchard rows, under crop canopies and inside greenhouse houses. It climbs slopes and crosses field ridges with ease.
Ergonomic handlebars. The handlebars adjust vertically by roughly 50° and rotate horizontally by about 90°, suiting operators of different heights and side-slope working postures. Throttle, clutch and kill-switch are all grouped on the grips; releasing the control stops the working parts immediately, ensuring safe and low-fatigue operation.
Reliable and serviceable drivetrain. Power flows from the engine through a V-belt reduction, gearbox and chain drive to the tine shaft in a time-proven layout. All exposed gears, belts and chains are guarded, and service points are openly accessible, so routine greasing, blade replacement and belt changes can be handled by ordinary farmers.
Balanced traction and steering. A front gauge wheel controls tilling depth and travel direction, while the rear tine shaft provides drive. Swapping in paddy wheels or heavy lug tires adapts the unit to heavy clay and wet ground; removing the gauge wheel switches it to pure rotary-tilling mode.
Multi-function Capabilities
By changing attachments, one machine covers nearly every field-management task across the season.
Rotary tilling and soil preparation: Standard three gangs of rotary blades, about 240 mm in diameter, deliver an adjustable working width of 400–800 mm and a tilling depth of 80–150 mm. A single pass turns, crushes and levels the soil, leaving a fine, even seedbed.
Inter-row weeding: Fitted with two weeding wheels, the unit weeds at about 700 mm width and 30–50 mm depth, with a missed-weeding rate below 15%. It is ideal for shallow weed control between tree rows and crop ridges, without damaging roots or burying seedlings.
Ditching and furrowing: With a combined auger-and-share furrower, the machine digs irrigation, drainage and fertilization trenches for vegetables, grapes, strawberries and tobacco, producing clean-walled, well-shaped furrows.
Ridging and hilling: Equipped with rotary-blade ridgers, it builds soil up to over 200 mm high with stability above 85%, serving the hilling needs of green onion, ginger, sweet potato, maize and cotton.

Competitive Advantages and Applications
Compared with large tractors, the 3TG-4 costs far less to buy and run, burns less fuel and turns tightly, suiting smallholders, family farms, orchard contractors and greenhouse growers. Compared with other tillers in the same price range, it ships complete with weeding, ditching and ridging attachments; offers a wider handlebar adjustment range; guards every rotating transmission part; and has been tested to an effective availability above 98% with high user satisfaction.
Typical applications include inter-row management in northern orchards, deep tillage of southern tea gardens and vegetable plots, greenhouse soil preparation, small hilly plots, and inter-tillage and hilling of tobacco, vegetables and medicinal crops. One machine handles plowing, weeding, ditching and ridging in a single season, sharply cutting labor intensity and raising work efficiency — a cost-effective choice for mechanizing hilly agriculture and protected cultivation.
