Vacuum Degassing–Eliminates Pinholes, Clears the Path for Plating
Plating is the process most likely to expose defects in medal production. Any micro-porosity on the substrate surface can cause plating blistering, pitting, or exposed base metal. Equipped with an imported high-vacuum pump, this machine actively evacuates residual mold gases before pouring, fundamentally eliminating pinholes, shrinkage porosity, and oxide inclusions. Each medal emerges with a dense, smooth surface—providing an ideal substrate for subsequent copper plating, nickel plating, gold plating, or antiquing processes.
