Industrial production has a specific process function and under a certain pressure of the equipment, called pressure vessel. Storage and transportation vessels, reaction vessels, heat exchange vessels and separation vessels are pressure vessels. In order to be distinguished from ordinary vessels (atmospheric vessels), only vessels that simultaneously satisfy the following three conditions are called pressure vessels:
(1) The maximum working pressure (Pw) (Note 1) is greater than or equal to 0.1mpa (excluding hydrostatic pressure, same below);
(2) The internal diameter (non-helical section refers to its maximum size) is greater than or equal to 0.15m, and the volume (V)(note 2) is greater than or equal to 0.25m3;
(3) Containing medium is gas liquefied gas or the highest operating temperature is higher than or equal to the standard boiling point liquid.
