The density of the filter material indicates the degree of erecting, laminating, or weaving of the dielectric fibers.Density can usually be expressed as grams per square meter. Typically, as the density of the medium increases, the nominal micron retention size decreases
The average particle size of impurities removed by the filter material is measured in micron scale.The filtration accuracy can be improved by filtering the impurity filter cake.For applications that produce very fine particles, a lower nominal micron-scale medium is recommended.
It is also very important that the filter medium used has a uniform structure to prevent impurities from contaminating the clean liquid through large openings (defects) in the medium.
