The S355JR structural hot rolled carbon steel coil conforms to EN 10025-2 and delivers a guaranteed yield strength of 355 MPa, making it one of the most widely specified structural grades in European and Middle Eastern construction markets. Zhengde produces S355JR coils with tightly controlled chemistry and rolling parameters to ensure the mechanical property envelope remains stable from the first meter to the last meter of every coil. The grade offers an excellent combination of strength, weldability and toughness, with Charpy impact energy of at least 27 Joules at room temperature, which is essential for dynamically loaded structures and prefabricated building components. Available in thicknesses from 1.5mm to 20mm and widths from 600mm to 2000mm, the coil can be supplied in mill finish or pickled and oiled surface condition to suit different fabrication routes. Each coil is verified through tensile, bending and impact testing in accredited laboratories, and the accompanying EN 10204 3.1 certificate confirms full compliance for projects requiring documented material quality. Fabricators benefit from consistent flatness and thickness that reduce reject rates in laser cutting, plasma cutting and CNC punching operations.
