DX51D+Z Structural Galvanized Steel Coil 1000-1250mm Width 195-420MPa Yield

Structural work needs coil whose mechanical values are predictable, not merely compliant. This DX51D+Z galvanized steel coil is rolled to EN 10346 with yield strength held between 195 MPa and 420 MPa, tensile strength 270 to 500 MPa and elongation of at least 12 percent, and it is supplied in the wide 1000 mm to 1250 mm format that suits roll forming, press braking and automated welding cells. The zinc coating, normally Z120 to Z275, is applied after cold rolling on a continuous line, so the steel underneath keeps a fine grain structure while the surface resists atmospheric corrosion. We test one sample per coil for yield, tensile and elongation, and we report the actual figures rather than a nominal grade, because fabricators who set their press forces from a data sheet deserve values that describe the steel they will receive.

This wide format coil serves structural and semi structural fabrication: steel decking and floor deck profiles, purlins and girts, racking uprights and beams, mezzanine floor panels, transmission tower accessories, scaffolding systems and prefabricated building frames. Because the coil is wide, roll formers can produce multi rib deck profiles in one pass and cut edge waste to a minimum. The predictable yield strength matters most in cold formed sections, where a small drift in yield changes springback and therefore the final profile angle. Customers running automated lines also value flatness and consistent coil weight, which reduce line stoppages and coil changeover time across a long production shift.

Each coil is wrapped in VCI anti-corrosion film, covered by a layer of waterproof kraft paper and a galvanized steel outer skin, then secured with three circumferential and two longitudinal steel straps on a fumigation-free plywood pallet. Eye-to-sky or eye-to-wall orientation is confirmed against the buyer's unloading equipment, and a desiccant pack is added for long sea voyages. Coils are loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers with timber dunnage and air bags to prevent shifting. Every shipment is accompanied by a mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1, a packing list and a coating weight report, and third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged before loading.
