The S460ML thermomechanically rolled steel coil is specified for welded structures that carry high loads in cold and offshore environments. Zhengde produces the grade with controlled rolling followed by accelerated cooling, which refines the ferrite grain and delivers a guaranteed 460 MPa yield strength together with 27 J Charpy impact energy at minus 50 degrees C. The low carbon equivalent keeps the steel weldable with normal shop procedures, and the uniform through-thickness properties simplify the rolling and welding of conical wind tower sections. Supply covers 3mm to 20mm thickness and 900mm to 2000mm width, with mill finish or pickled surfaces. Every coil end is tested for tensile and impact performance, and EN 10204 3.1 certificates give fabricators and engineering consultants the verified data required for design release.

S460ML is specified for welded structures that combine high load with low temperature service: onshore and offshore wind power tower sections, transition pieces and flanges, offshore platform topsides and jackets, crane structures, penstocks, lock gates, bridges and mining equipment. Its TMCP delivery condition is increasingly preferred by fabricators who need dependable toughness without post weld heat treatment.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceEvery coil end is tested for yield, tensile, elongation and Charpy impact at -50 degrees C, with results reported on EN 10204 3.1 certificates. Zhengde is ISO 9001:2015 certified and works with SGS, BV and TUV for third-party witnessing. Seaworthy packaging with rust protection is standard, and delivery is 7-15 days for stock items and 20-30 days for production orders.
