Product Overview & Application
This 0.6/1kV 2X2+2AWG triplex overhead service drop cable is a bundled low-voltage power cable structured with two individually insulated aluminum phase conductors and one high-strength bare alloy neutral messenger conductor. It is engineered for outdoor overhead power distribution, serving as the connecting line between utility overhead mains and end-user facilities, including residential houses, multi-family dwellings and light commercial buildings.
Suitable for system voltage up to 0.6/1kV, this overhead cable adopts premium XLPE insulating material to deliver outstanding thermal stability, ultraviolet resistance and environmental aging resistance. It operates reliably under exposed outdoor conditions with a maximum continuous conductor temperature of 90°C. The integrated bare AAAC neutral messenger provides both neutral current return function and mechanical tensile support, ensuring secure long-term aerial installation without additional suspension hardware.
Cable Construction
Phase Conductors
Made of 1350-H19 grade stranded All Aluminum Conductor (AAC) with 2 AWG nominal size. The stranded structure ensures excellent flexibility, stable conductivity and low power loss for daily power distribution.
Neutral Messenger Conductor
Bare All Aluminum Alloy Conductor (AAAC) in 2 AWG size. Compared with regular pure aluminum, AAAC features higher tensile strength and better mechanical stability, specifically optimized for overhead cable load-bearing requirements.
Insulation Layer
Each phase conductor is insulated with black cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). The XLPE insulation offers superior heat resistance, crack resistance and UV stabilization, fully adapting to severe outdoor weather changes, sunlight exposure and humid environments.
