Steel structure buildings utilize steel as the primary load-bearing system, typically composed of beams, columns, trusses, and other components fabricated from steel plates and sections. The main components of steel structure building:
1. Main frame
Main steel frame contains steel beams, steel columns, steel trusses.
2. Secondary supporting framing
Purlin, tie bar and bracing are secondary structural members used to support the wall and roof cladding.
3. Roof and wall cladding system
The thickness of steel sheet usually be 0.3mm-0.7mm and used in different building and requirement.
Sandwich panel is composite insulation panel made by two sides steel sheet and heat insulated core material through binder (or foam). The core can be EPS (polystyrene ), fiberglass wool, rock glass wool and PU (polyurethane), thickness 50mm, 60mm, 75mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, etc.
Core material:
(1) Polystyrene: made of expandable polystyrene (EPS) particles as raw material, shaped like chemical fertilizer particles, after heating preform, white pearl like larger particles, and then heated in the mold and formed with a micro closed cell structure of foam board, due to poor fire performance, mostly used for temporary buildings.
(2) Polyurethane: high energy saving performance, excellent fire insulation performance of the material, by adding flame retardant to achieve the purpose of fire prevention, combustion will produce toxic gas, when used to do composite panel, polyurethane bulk density is generally in 40 kg.
(3) Rock wool: basalt as the main raw material, after high temperature melting, made of inorganic fiber by high-speed centrifugal equipment, at the same time evenly add a certain proportion of adhesive baking into a large panel, according to the production needs to cut strip piece then made to sandwich panel, rock wool as non-combustion body, good fire performance.
(4) Fiberglass wool: it is a kind of light weight, heat resistant, elastic, non-flammable insulation material, widely used in chemical industry, medicine, factories, construction, is an ideal heat insulation, fire-retardant, sound-absorbing material
