Tungsten alloy tube has high density (higher than 60% of lead), good mechanical strength, small thermal expansion, good corrosion resistance, high radiation absorption capacity (higher than lead), simple economic cycle, high strength, high specific gravity, suitable for radiation shielding. High-gravity tungsten alloy tubing provides the same radiation shielding capabilities as lead while reducing the bulk and thickness of the shielding container.
Compared with lead and depleted uranium, tungsten alloy has the advantages of non-toxic and non-polluting. High gravity tungsten alloy tubes are mainly used for the protection of medicine bottles and syringes.
