Heavy Tungsten Alloy Nozzles are heavy-duty tungsten screws because they weigh more than twice as much as steel. High specific gravity tungsten alloys are usually refractory metals containing W nickel-iron, W nickel-copper or even W nickel-cu-iron complexes. Rare earths and/or other metals such as cobalt, molybdenum and chromium are added to some tungsten alloys. Heavy tungsten alloys have a high melting point, are twice as dense as steel and more than 50 percent heavier than lead.

Heavy tungsten alloys are mainly divided into W nickel-iron, W nickel-copper, and even W nickel-iron-copper series. In contrast, western nickel-iron alloy has better mechanical properties and plays an important role in various fields of national defense industry and national economy. It is a very important new military material in the national defense industry and is gradually developing into various civil industries.
Heavy duty tungsten alloys contain 90-98% tungsten and have a high density (16.5-19.00g/CC). Nickel, iron and/or copper are used as metal adhesive substrates to bind fragile tungsten particles together, making tungsten alloys tough and easy to use. Iron-nickel is the most commonly used additive, with a ratio of 7Ni:3Fe or 8Ni:2Fe (by weight).
It is used as a shielding element of a dual-source distance density meter. The instrument is used to measure the oil content of layers several kilometres below the surface. After changing the original lead shielding element into high specific gravity tungsten alloy, the instrument has been widely used with small volume, high precision and long service life.
