Tungsten Carbide Cutting Inserts are made of tungsten steel. Tungsten steel is an alloy material made of refractory metal and hard compound of binding metal by powder metallurgy. Tungsten steel has high hardness, wear resistance, good strength and toughness, heat resistance, corrosion resistance and a series of excellent properties, especially its high hardness and wear resistance, even at the temperature of 500℃ is basically unchanged.
Tungsten Carbide Cutting Inserts are mainly made of integral tungsten steel through various processes. Tungsten steel, also known as carbide alloy, is made by pressing and sintering high-quality tungsten carbide+cobalt powder after formula mixing. It has high hardness, high strength, high wear resistance and high elastic modulus. It belongs to the powder metallurgy industry. As the teeth of modern industry, cemented carbide tools play a vital role in promoting the development of manufacturing industry.
According to the grain size, tungsten steel can be divided into ordinary cemented carbide, fine grain cemented carbide, sub fine grain cemented carbide and ultra-fine grain cemented carbide, as well as newly introduced double grain cemented carbide. Cement cemented carbides have high hardness (86~93HRA, equivalent to 69~81hrc), second only to diamond, and thermal hardness (up to 900~1000 ℃, maintained at 60HRC); High bending strength (mpa5100), good impact toughness, high corrosion resistance, chemical inertia and other characteristics that are not available in general alloy blades.
