Overview
Nickel Chromium Alloy Wire is an alloy wire made mainly from nickel and chromium, combined with a small amount of trace elements, melted and drawn into an alloy wire. It is one of the most widely used electric heating alloy materials on the market. It features stable resistivity, rapid heating, high temperature resistance, resistance to oxidation and rust, good toughness, and is not easily brittle.
This alloy wire has a high temperature resistance range, uniform heating, and high heat conversion efficiency, making it less likely to deform or fuse due to long-term high-temperature use. In daily use, it is commonly used in household electric stoves, heaters, hair dryers, ovens, electric heating tubes, and other household heating equipment. It is also widely applied in industrial electric heating equipment, precision resistor components, and high-temperature heating devices, adapting to various high and low temperature heating conditions and offering strong practicality.

Application
1. Industrial heating equipment
Nickel Chromium Alloy Wire is used in high-temperature heating equipment such as box furnaces, pit furnaces, and push rod furnaces, with long-term operating temperatures reaching 1100~1200°C, providing a uniform and stable heat source. It is mainly used for metal heat treatment (annealing, quenching), ceramic sintering, glass melting, and other processes.
Manufactures heat-resistant structural components such as radiating tubes and conveyor belts, balancing high-temperature strength with oxidation resistance, suitable for continuous heat treatment production lines.
2. Home appliances
The heating tubes in electric ovens and microwaves use nickel-chromium wire, which heats up quickly, controls temperature precisely, and is not easily deformed over long-term use.
Hair dryers, irons, curling irons, and other products rely on their rapid response to reach the set temperature and maintain stability in a short time.
3. Research and Experimental Equipment
Nickel Chromium Wire is used in thermal analyzers, high-temperature reactors, vacuum furnaces, and other equipment, operating stably under oxygen-free or special atmospheres, supporting materials science and chemistry experiments.
As a high-precision resistor element, it is used in temperature sensors, constant temperature tanks, and more, with a low resistance temperature coefficient to ensure data reliability.
4. Special industrial sectors
Used as a heating element in high-temperature sterilizers and surgical instrument disinfection equipment, it is corrosion-resistant and meets medical safety standards.
Engine thermal test benches and high-temperature material testing equipment simulate extreme environments, withstanding repeated thermal shock above 1200°C.
Nickel Chromium Alloy Wires are used in reactor heating jackets and pipeline insulation systems, maintaining long-term stability in mildly corrosive environments and replacing ordinary stainless steel.
Processing
(1) Batching and melting: Nickel, chromium, and trace elements are melted in a vacuum induction furnace according to precise proportions, controlling impurity content, ensuring uniform composition, and casting into ingots, laying the foundation for subsequent processing.
(2) Hot Working: After high-temperature homogenization annealing, the ingot is forged or hot-rolled into round billets. Under strict control of temperature and deformation, the material shape is initially shaped and grain structure optimized.
(3) Cold Drawing Reduction: Gradually shrinks the diameter through multiple rounds of secondary cold drawing, with alternating intermediate annealing during the process to eliminate work hardening. Combined with specialized lubricants to reduce friction, the wire surface is smooth and the internal structure is stable.
(4) Final heat treatment: Low-temperature annealing is performed in a protective atmosphere, precisely controlling temperature and time to stabilize grain size and resistivity, resulting in excellent overall properties (such as high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance).
(5) Surface Treatment and Quality Inspection: Acid washing removes surface oxide layers, electrolytic polishing improves finish, and rigorous testing includes composition analysis, mechanical property testing, and high-temperature oxidation tests to ensure the wire meets standard requirements before delivery.
