The raw materials' decomposition rate in the vertical preheater can reach to 30% before entering into the rotary kiln. According to the calcination character of limestone, lime rotary kiln is specialized design for production of active lime. This type of kiln can work with vertical preheater and vertical cooler to achievethe advantages like high use ratio of raw materials, complete calcination, even quality, good quality lime, high capacity output, environmental and energy saving, simple operation and longer working life. This kiln is very suitable for limestone calcination for industries like metallurgy, chemical, construction materials and etc.

It significantly minimizes the occurrence of under-burnt or over-burnt lime, resulting in a final product of superior activity (typically 340–380mL, and up to 400mL) that is ideal for the steelmaking industry. Under comparable conditions, the activity of lime from a rotary kiln averages 30mL higher than that from a gas-fired vertical kiln.

3. The rotary kiln allows for the direct processing of fine limestone (10–50mm in size). This capability enables the full utilization of mine resources, as fine limestone (0–30mm) typically accounts for 30–40% of total quarry yield. This approach not only maximizes resource efficiency but also aligns with the sustainable development goals of the lime industry.
