A: It is preferred to install the sensor 1-3 meters downwind from potential chlorine leakage points such as chlorine storage equipment and pipeline joints.
The installation height should be level with or slightly lower than the leakage source (to align with chlorine’s higher density than air, ensuring rapid detection of accumulated gas).
2.Q: How long does the sensor’s battery last? What should I do if the battery drains quickly?
A: Equipped with a low-power design, the sensor’s battery life can reach several years under regular data reporting frequency. However, the actual lifespan is affected by factors such as transmission distance and reporting interval.
Rapid battery drain may be caused by poor signal connection, which leads the device to repeatedly attempt network access. You can first check the signal strength between the sensor and the LoRaWAN gateway.
If the signal is normal but the battery still drains quickly, please consult us to verify if it is a device malfunction and apply for professional testing.
3.Q: What are the common reasons for intermittent data transmission of the sensor?
A: In addition to the excessive distance between the sensor and the LoRaWAN gateway, intermittent transmission may also be caused by the gateway being installed near metal surfaces (resulting in signal shielding) or other wireless devices in the vicinity occupying the communication frequency band.
You can try adjusting the gateway’s installation position first. If the problem persists, please consult us for a customized network channel planning and optimization solution.
