The PP (Polypropylene) diaphragm metering pump is an ideal choice for the precise and continuous dosing of low-to-medium concentration acids, alkalis, salts, and oxidizing chemicals in industrial water treatment, environmental protection, and process industries. With excellent corrosion resistance, significant cost advantages, and high reliability, it has become the preferred pump type for numerous standard operating conditions.
Corrosion Resistance:PP material exhibits outstanding resistance to most inorganic acids, alkalis, and salt solutions (e.g., hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, etc.). Its price is much lower than that of PVDF or metal pumps, achieving an optimal balance between cost and performance.
Easy Maintenance:The modular design allows for easy disassembly and replacement of key components, minimizing daily maintenance workload and effectively reducing the total cost of ownership.
Versatility:It covers a wide range of flow requirements from laboratory-scale to industrial production. As a general-purpose main pump, it is suitable for applications such as pH adjustment, disinfection, flocculation, and nutrient dosing.
Application Scenarios
Water Treatment: Dosing of hydrochloric acid/sulfuric acid (pH adjustment), sodium hypochlorite (disinfection), and PAC/PAM (coagulation and flocculation).
Environmental Protection Engineering: Wastewater neutralization, and alkali liquor circulation in waste gas scrubbers.
Process Flows: Addition of scale inhibitors and bactericides in cooling water systems, and quantitative transfer of chemicals in production lines.
Other Fields: Swimming pool chemical dosing, and transfer of mildly corrosive chemical liquids.
Selection and Precautions
Applicable Conditions: Recommended for liquids with operating temperature ≤ 60°C, free of strong organic solvents and concentrated oxidizing acids (e.g., fuming sulfuric acid).
Not Applicable/Cautionary Media: Media such as concentrated nitric acid, bromine liquid, halogenated hydrocarbons, and aromatic hydrocarbons will cause swelling or corrosion of PP. For such cases, PVDF pumps or metal pumps should be selected.
