This device supports two primary methods of vehicle detection:

• Pulse Detection Mode: Produces a short output signal when a vehicle is first detected. Commonly used to initiate an action such as opening a barrier or recording an entry.

• Sensitivity Level: Can be adjusted to ensure proper operation with different loop configurations. More sensitive settings are suitable for smaller or fewer wire turns. Less sensitive settings work better with larger loops or high-traffic areas.

The detector relies on one or more inductive loops that are installed in the ground. These loops are typically made from stranded copper wire installed in a loop shape and then sealed into the pavement using a durable material such as epoxy or asphalt.

General guidance for loop turns based on loop size:

• Loops around 3 to 4 meters in perimeter: 6 wire turns
• Loops around 4 to 6 meters: 5 turns
• Loops around 6 to 10 meters: 4 turns
• Loops around 10 to 20 meters: 3 turns
• Loops over 20 meters: 2 turns

For best results, loops should be installed at least 2 meters apart from one another if multiple units are used in the same area. Longer cable runs between the loop and the detector should use shielded cable to preserve signal integrity.
