Product Overview
The ABB TZIDC (Type V18345 series) is a microprocessor-based intelligent electro-pneumatic positioner for mounting on pneumatic linear or rotary actuators. It accepts a standard 4–20 mA DC (two-wire) setpoint signal with HART 5/7 communication superimposed, and converts it to a pneumatic output (single-acting: 1 output; double-acting: 2 outputs) to drive the valve to the commanded position. The positioner features fully automatic calibration (auto-zero, auto-travel, auto-PID tuning) via three pushbuttons and a local LCD, NAMUR / VDI-VDE 3845 mounting, and IP65/IP66 aluminum housing. Electrical connection is 1/2"-14 NPT with 1/4"-18 NPT pneumatic ports. Typical reference models include V18345-1010121001 (single-acting, fail-safe, 4–20 mA feedback) and V18345-1010421001 (double-acting, fail-safe, 4–20 mA feedback). Suitable for chemical, oil & gas, power, water treatment, and pharma process control loops.
