Product Overview
The SICK GTB6-P1231 is a compact background suppression (BGS) photoelectric sensor from the W6 (G6) series. It detects objects within a fixed 15–250 mm range regardless of object color or reflectivity, ignoring the background behind the target. This model features a PNP push-pull output (Light/Dark switchable), M8 4-pin connector, and 10–30 V DC supply, making it ideal for precise part-presence and edge-detection tasks on conveyors and assembly machines.
True Background Suppression: Detects glossy black objects at same distance as white—background is ignored completely, eliminating false triggers from shiny machine parts behind the target.
Ultra-Compact W6 Form Factor: 12 mm width fits into tight tooling, gripper fingers, and narrow conveyor rails.
Potentiometer Adjustment: Easy range setting via top-mounted trimmer—no teach-in required.
High-Speed Response: Sub-millisecond switching suitable for high-speed counting or registration marks.
