DOWSIL SJ668 is a two-part, neutral-cure adhesive/sealant with structural glazing capabilities. It complies with the Chinese National Standard GB16776-2005 and offers excellent adhesion to most common building substrates such as glass, coated glass, and aluminum.
DOWSIL SJ668 Sealant is specially designed for the structural assembly of high-performance building curtain wall units. Once cured, it forms a durable, elastic seal that provides essential structural support and integrity to the curtain wall system, ensuring long-term safety, weather resistance, and reliability. Its neutral cure nature means it does not release corrosive by-products during curing, making it compatible with a wide range of sensitive materials.
A key special attribute of this product is its adjustable snap time. By varying the base-to-curing agent mix ratio (from 9:1 to 11:1 by weight), the snap time can be adjusted to suit different application environments and efficiency requirements without impacting the sealant's physical properties. Furthermore, it is compatible with most commercial two-part silicone dispensing equipment and can be cleaned with dedicated solvents like DOWSIL™ 3522 for equipment maintenance.
DOWSIL™ SJ668 Sealant is primarily used in structural glazing applications within the construction sector. Typical application scenarios include factory glazing for unitized curtain walls and the construction of frame-supported glass curtain walls for large commercial buildings. It is also suitable for any scenario requiring the structural bonding of panels like glass or metal to the building framework, especially for projects demanding high weather resistance, durability, and structural safety.
