The AiLF P20 is an open-path TDLAS methane gas monitoring system designed for continuous leak detection in natural gas pipelines, gas storage facilities, and other oil & gas infrastructure. By combining laser methane detection with a motorized pan-tilt unit, the P20 can continuously scan designated areas and identify potential methane leaks from a remote distance.
The P20 uses TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) to detect methane along an open optical path. The laser beam is directed toward the monitored area, and the receiver analyzes the returned light to determine methane concentration. This remote measurement principle allows operators to monitor potential leak areas without placing the detector directly at the leakage point.
The integrated pan-tilt system supports automated scanning of multiple directions or predefined inspection routes. The P20 is designed for continuous 24/7 operation, enabling unattended methane monitoring for long-term pipeline and facility surveillance.
The P20 integrates gas detection, leak point determination, inspection route management, data recording, and network communication into one system. Multiple units can be connected to a centralized monitoring network for real-time supervision and data management.
The system includes transmitter and receiver self-test functions, built-in signal processing, auto-zero, non-volatile memory, and a real-time clock to support stable long-term operation. Its enclosure protection and industrial design are intended for demanding outdoor monitoring environments.
With 20 W power consumption and a compact 5.5 kg design, the P20 is suitable for fixed or remote installations. The system can support solar-powered deployment and backend connectivity for applications requiring long-term continuous monitoring.
The P20 is suitable for natural gas pipeline leak detection, gas storage facilities, oil & gas terminals, refineries, chemical plants, energy infrastructure, landfill methane monitoring, and biogas facilities.
