RPD501110 Rear Air Suspension Shock Strut for Land Rover Discovery 3 (2005-2009) Range Rover Sport (2005-2012)
OE RPD501110 is a classic low-spec rear air strut for Land Rover L319/L320 platform. It is the matched rear counterpart of the front RNB501580, forming a complete front-rear air suspension kit. Specially designed for Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and old Range Rover Sport equipped with basic air suspension without ADS adaptive damping. This is a purely mechanical air strut with no solenoid valve and no electronic signal. It is one of the most frequently replaced vulnerable rear air suspension parts for old Land Rover off-road SUVs. The original factory released multiple revised batches with various alternative OE numbers. All interchangeable models share identical mounting dimensions, stroke, air spring pressure rating and damping force. It can be fitted on both rear sides without distinction, featuring great versatility and reducing inventory pressure.
Land Rover Discovery 3/4 and old Range Rover Sport have heavy curb weight, frequent trunk loading and rough off-road driving conditions. The rear air suspension bears long-term high-intensity tension, compression and load impact, which easily causes typical factory common failures. The rubber air spring ages, hardens, cracks and develops pinhole leaks or delamination, resulting in rear end sag, low rear body, overnight collapse, front-high-rear-low posture and tilted body. Degraded hydraulic oil and failed high-pressure oil seals lead to excessive bounce over potholes, obvious residual vibration, loose and wandering rear end, poor high-speed stability, severe brake dive and greatly reduced off-road vibration absorption. Low-spec non-electronic air suspension vehicles will not show electronic fault codes, but long-term failure will cause unbalanced body posture, uneven tire wear and excessive wear of rear control arm bushes, continuously increasing overall maintenance cost.
Our RPD501110 rear air strut is 1:1 moulded strictly according to original L319/L320 OE specification. Tuned for Land Rover rear heavy load, trunk carrying capacity and complex off-road conditions. It adopts thickened multi-layer imported high & low temperature resistant explosion-proof rubber air spring, anti-rust precision piston rod, multi-stage composite high-pressure sealing structure and long-life anti-degradation heavy-duty hydraulic oil, fundamentally solving rear air suspension leakage, pressure loss, weak damping and rear sag problems. Every unit is 100% tested for high-pressure air tightness holding, high & low temperature weather resistance and heavy-load fatigue impact to eliminate micro leakage, false specification and insufficient damping. It is a complete pre-assembled unit, universal for rear left and rear right, direct bolt-on installation without modification, programming or electronic matching. After installation, simply inflate and calibrate vehicle height to restore factory-standard rear posture and tight chassis feel. Low return rate, ideal for luxury car repair, auto parts bulk stocking and cross-border export.
A: Yes. This is a Land Rover dedicated rear universal air strut. Rear left and rear right are completely identical with no distinction. One part fits both sides, greatly simplifying inventory management.
A: Fully interchangeable. RPD501110, RPD000308, LR016419, LR016424 and RKB500250 are all factory updated replacement parts. Hardware parameters and installation effect are 100% identical, freely interchangeable.
A: No. This is a purely mechanical non-electronic low-spec version without solenoid valve or electronic adaptation structure. Installation on ADS high-spec vehicles will cause function loss, air suspension system error and inability to work normally.
A: Not available. Mechanical shock absorber vehicles have no air pipe, air compressor or control system, hardware cannot support air suspension retrofit.
A: No programming needed. Pure mechanical structure requires no matching. Only inflate, calibrate vehicle height and clear fault code after installation.
A: Rear end sag, low rear body, overnight rear collapse, front-high-rear-low posture, excessive residual vibration over rear bumps, loose and wandering rear end, poor high-speed stability, obvious brake dive, severe uneven tire wear.
A: Not recommended. Both rear struts bear the same load and age synchronously. Single replacement will cause inconsistent damping and support between left and right, leading to tilted rear end, pulling and reduced comfort. Replacing both rear struts in pair is strongly recommended.
A: Yes. These two are the matched front-rear low-spec air suspension parts for this platform. Front-rear simultaneous replacement restores factory body posture and chassis feel for the whole vehicle, which is the standard maintenance solution for repair shops.
A: Not applicable. It only fits old L319/L320 platform. New chassis suspension structure and parameters are fully upgraded, completely incompatible.
