5052 is an Al-Mg series rust-proof aluminum alloy offering excellent corrosion resistance,
moderate strength, and superior workability. It's widely used in marine, automotive, elec
-tronics, and construction applications.
Key Properties
Corrosion Resistance:
Excellent performance in marine/chemical environments (superior to 3003 alloy)
Can be anodized or painted for additional protection
Mechanical Properties:
Tensile Strength: 170-305 MPa
Yield Strength: ≥65 MPa
Elongation: 12-25% (up to 25%+ in O temper)
Workability:
Suitable for stamping, bending, and welding (MIG/TIG recommended)
Not heat-treatable - cold working increases strength
