Product Description
The Self-Centering Plastic Furring Channel Leveling Anchor features a tapered conical guide tip that automatically aligns the anchor body with the borehole centerline during the vertical hammer-in step, eliminating the common ceiling installation problem of misalignment when working overhead with limited visibility. The tapered nylon PA6 tip progressively guides the anchor into the correct position even if the installer's hammer angle is slightly off-center, reducing installation errors and rework on large-scale ceiling projects. Once seated flush, the split-body expansion mechanism engages normally as the square-head screw is diagonally tightened. Installation follows the standard four-step furring channel procedure with the added benefit of the self-centering tip: drill a matching hole, thoroughly clean borehole dust, vertically hammer the anchor — the tapered tip self-guides into the hole — and diagonally tighten the screw to activate expansion. Ideal for commercial ceiling crews working at height where overhead visibility is compromised and precise anchor alignment dramatically affects installation speed and quality.
