A high-efficiency filter (also known as PM2.5 high-efficiency cabin air filter) is a critical purification component in the Destroyer 05 DM-i A/C system—using multi-layer composite high-efficiency media capable of filtering not only regular dust and pollen but also efficiently capturing PM2.5 fine particles, adsorbing formaldehyde and harmful gases to protect occupant respiratory health.
Compatible with all BYD Destroyer 05 models (including 2022-2025, 55KM/120KM range versions, Champion Edition, and Glory Edition). According to the owner’s manual and maintenance information, the Destroyer 05 is equipped with a high-efficiency air filtration system—replacement recommended every 6-12 months or 10,000-20,000 km.
When to Replace the High-Efficiency Filter?

Phillips screwdriver (required for some models)
Gloves
Clean soft cloth (for cleaning filter housing)
Installation Steps:
Locate the high-efficiency filter: Open the passenger-side glove box—the high-efficiency filter is located behind it
Remove glove box (if required): Press the stoppers on both sides and fold down the glove box
Open the filter cover: Remove screws or clips securing the filter cover
Remove the old high-efficiency filter: Carefully pull out the old filter—note the installation direction arrow (airflow direction)
Clean the filter housing: Use a soft cloth to remove dust and debris from the housing (for A/C system cleaning, use a dedicated A/C cleaner)
Install the new high-efficiency filter: Push the new filter into the housing following the arrow direction (airflow downward)—ensure proper sealing all around
Reinstall the cover: Reinstall the filter cover—tighten screws/clips
Reinstall the glove box: Push the glove box back into position
Check A/C airflow: Start the vehicle and turn on A/C—confirm proper airflow and no odor
【Professional Tips】:
Must pay attention to the airflow direction arrow during installation—the arrow should point in the direction of airflow (typically downward)—reverse installation will significantly reduce filtration efficiency
Recommended to clean the A/C lines/evaporator simultaneously when replacing the high-efficiency filter for optimal purification performance
In areas with frequent smog or poor air quality, shorten the replacement interval is recommended
If cabin odor persists after filter replacement, recommended to inspect the evaporator for mold growth—consult a professional technician for cleaning if necessary
