This product is professionally designed for BYD's professional personalized brand—the Formula Leopard 5, the brand's first model, serving as a critical safety and visibility component mounted on the outside of the left and right front doors, integrating core functions such as power adjustment, LED turn signal, heating defog, folding function, and blind-spot monitoring indicator lights.

• The outside rearview mirror assembly is a safety vision component—no regular replacement required under normal conditions.

• When the vehicle is involved in a side collision accident resulting in housing damage, broken glass, internal mechanism failure, or function loss, replacement of the complete assembly is recommended. The mirror cover cannot be replaced separately—only the complete assembly.

• If only the mirror glass is damaged, separate glass replacement may be considered.

Installation Instructions

Tools Required:

• Flathead screwdriver / Plastic trim removal tool

• Hex wrench / Socket wrench

• Small flathead screwdriver (for removing white clips)

• Electrical tape (if wiring is required)

Installation Steps (General Reference):

1. Remove mirror glass (if required): Press the top of the mirror glass to tilt the bottom outward—grasp the bottom and pull firmly to remove. If equipped with heating, disconnect the heating wire connector

2. Remove mirror housing: Use a plastic pry tool to slowly release clips along the housing edge—remove clips to expose mounting screws

3. Remove door trim/black cover: Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry up the black trim along the door panel gap

4. Locate mounting screws: Find the mirror mounting position and screws at the tweeter location

5. Remove mounting screws: Remove screws, keep them safe for reinstallation

6. Separate mirror from door: Gently shake the mirror to separate it from the door panel

7. Remove wiring harness: Pull the harness out through the opening. White clips may be tight—use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry from the bottom

8. Install new mirror assembly: Follow reverse steps to install new assembly—ensure all components are securely fastened and connections are normal

9. Function test: Start vehicle—test power adjustment, turn signal, heating, folding, and blind-spot monitoring functions

【Professional Tips】:

• Pay attention to left/right orientation: Left (driver side) and right (passenger side) mirrors are mirror-symmetric designs—not interchangeable

• The mirror cover cannot be replaced separately—complete assembly replacement is required if damaged

• Carefully remove the mirror glass to prevent dropping and breaking, and remember the internal structure for installation

• The three white clips are difficult to remove—use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry from the bottom—be careful not to pull and break the wiring inside

• For high-trim models with 360° camera or blind-spot monitoring, camera calibration is required after mirror replacement
