The door waterproof seal (also known as door weatherstrip) is a rubber sealing component installed on four-door frames and door edges—performing the four core functions of waterproofing, dustproofing, soundproofing, and cushioning. Its sealing performance directly determines cabin quietness, air conditioning efficiency, and cabin cleanliness. According to owner feedback, the Destroyer 05 exhibits noticeable wind noise at high speeds with “hissing” sounds from door gaps—installing or replacing door seals is an effective solution for improving NVH performance.
Compatible with all BYD Destroyer 05 models (including 2022-2025, 55KM/120KM range versions, Champion Edition, and Glory Edition). Vehicle-specific design perfectly matches original door frame contours—seamless fit after installation with significantly improved soundproofing, noise reduction, and dust protection.
The door waterproof seal is a rubber consumable—sealing condition inspection every 3-5 years is recommended under normal use. EPDM rubber gradually loses elasticity and cracks after about 3 years of exposure.
When air leakage, water ingress, aging/cracking occurs, prompt replacement is needed to prevent noise and moisture intrusion affecting driving comfort.
Recommended to replace all four doors as a complete set for consistent sealing performance.

Alcohol or adhesion promoter (included)
Scissors (for trimming excess)
Small pry bar (installation aid)
Installation Steps (General Reference):
Clean mounting surface: Wipe away dust and grease from the installation area—ensure surface is clean and dry
Apply adhesion promoter: Wipe along the installation path, wait approximately 1 minute—enhances adhesive bonding
Peel off adhesive backing: Remove the protective film from the 3M adhesive backing
Align and stick: Press firmly along original reserved position or door edge—ensure proper alignment
Press firmly: Press firmly along the entire length to ensure tight adhesion to the body
Trim excess: If there's excess material at connection points, trim neatly with scissors
Check installation: Close the door—verify uniform fit without bulges or misalignment
【Professional Tips】:
Confirm corresponding positions before installation (A/B/C-pillars/front/rear doors are clearly marked) —each section of the vehicle-specific kit is clearly distinguished
Avoid car washing and rain for 24 hours after installation—allow adhesive to fully cure
If the vehicle already has factory B-pillar seals, skip B-pillar installation to avoid duplication
In winter, installation in a warm indoor environment is recommended—rubber hardens at low temperatures affecting fit
