This swing gate turnstile is built around one job: moving people through an entrance quickly and in order. A 100W brushless drive opens the acrylic swing arms in 0.5 seconds, one lane passes 30 persons per minute in controlled mode and up to 40 persons per minute when the lane is set to normally open during the peak, and the 550mm to 850mm channel is wide enough for a suitcase, a shopping trolley, a stroller or a wheelchair. The cabinet is a slim 1200*200*980mm stainless steel body, so several lanes can be arranged side by side in a lobby, a school gate, a hospital entrance, a stadium concourse or a factory gate without eating the walkway. Two LED indicator lights on each pedestal show green arrow or red cross plus the lane direction, so people choose the free lane by themselves and the queue spreads evenly. Four pairs of infrared sensors still watch the passage for tailgating and reverse entry, and the controller accepts cards, QR codes, face terminals, fingerprints and ticket readers through relay, 12V signal, RS485 or TCP/IP, so the lane fits the access rules the site already uses.

The brushless motor opens the arms in 0.5 seconds and closes them smoothly behind each person. In controlled mode the lane passes 30 persons per minute, and in normally open mode, used for shift changes, class breaks or event entry, the flow reaches 40 persons per minute, which is 1800 to 2400 passes per hour per lane.

4. Tailgating Detection Without Slowing The Flow

Four pairs of infrared sensors cover the full passage length and detect a second person walking in behind an authorised user, a person reversing into the lane or an object left in the passage. The lane alarms immediately and reports the event to the management software, so throughput stays high while the entrance is still controlled.

5. Fits The Access Control Already On Site

The controller works with RFID, IC and ID cards, QR codes, face and iris recognition, fingerprint, NFC phones, passwords and remote release from the guard room. Relay switch signals, 12V level and pulse signals, RS485 and TCP/IP are all supported, so the lane can be connected to an existing ticketing, membership or attendance platform without replacing the software.

2. Can wheelchairs and luggage pass through the lane?

Yes. The channel width is adjustable from 550mm to 850mm, which covers a standard wheelchair, a stroller and a medium suitcase. For sites with heavy luggage traffic we usually set the widest lane at 850mm and keep one additional wide lane for accessibility.

3. How does normally open mode work?

Normally open mode keeps the arms retracted so people walk through freely while the sensors still count passes and detect tailgating. The lane switches back to controlled mode automatically at the time you set or by a remote command, which is useful for shift changes, class breaks and event entry.

4. What happens if the power fails?

The arms release automatically on power failure or when the fire alarm contact is triggered, so the entrance becomes a free passage in an emergency. A key switch on the cabinet allows manual release for maintenance.
