1. Product Description 

Hastelloy is a family of nickel‑molybdenum‑chromium superalloys pioneered by Haynes International, specifically developed for the most demanding corrosive environments in chemical, energy, and marine engineering. Hastelloy pipes are manufactured from vacuum‑melted and electro‑slag‑refined billets, then formed by hot extrusion or cold drawing to ensure high purity and microstructural uniformity. The principal grades are C‑276 (broadest corrosion resistance), C‑22 (superior resistance to oxidizing media), and B‑3 (optimized for reducing acids). When exposed to aggressive media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, wet chlorine, or fluoride‑containing brines, Hastelloy pipes demonstrate far greater stability than ordinary stainless steels and even many other nickel alloys, earning the reputation of “universal corrosion‑resistant alloy piping.”

3. High‑Temperature Oxidation and Carburization Resistance: Optimal chromium content promotes a dense chromium oxide scale in air or oxygen‑bearing flue gases up to 600°C, while inhibiting carbon diffusion into the substrate, thus extending component life at elevated temperatures.

4. Excellent Cold and Hot Formability: Supports conventional cold‑working operations such as bending, coiling, and tube expansion, as well as hot‑forming methods like hot pushing and hot bending, with corrosion resistance retained without immediate post‑forming heat treatment.

5. Precision Dimensional Control and Surface Finish: Seamless pipes are pickled, polished, or ground to achieve surface roughness Ra below 0.8 μm, meeting stringent cleanliness requirements for fluid conveyance.
