The HONEPAN 140DS mechanical cam indexer provides rugged, all-mechanical intermittent rotation for production lines that cannot afford electrical positioning failure. Designed for heavy 8-station rotary tables, it uses a hardened globoidal cam and precision rollers to deliver a positive mechanical lock at every station, giving exceptional rigidity and repeatability under continuous industrial loading.
Because the 140DS relies purely on mechanical cam action rather than sensors, brakes, or controllers, it offers inherent fail-safe positioning. Even in the event of a power interruption, the output turret remains locked, protecting both tooling and operators. This makes it a trusted core for presses, riveting stations, and multi-station machining operations.
The motor drives the input shaft, rotating a globoidal cam whose curved rib engages a ring of needle rollers on the output table. Each cam rotation advances the table through one station, after which the dwell section of the cam holds the table stationary. The rolling contact between cam and rollers minimizes friction and wear while the mechanical lock provides rock-solid positioning.
