The HONEPAN 100DS precision cam indexer is a high-performance rotary indexing unit engineered to convert continuous motor rotation into precise, intermittent stop-and-go motion for automated dial tables and rotary workstations. The heart of the 100DS is a backlash-free mesh between a hardened globoidal cam and precision needle roller followers. This rolling-contact architecture produces a positive mechanical lock at every dwell position, so the index dial remains rigidly stationary while downstream tooling such as presses, screwdrivers, or inspection heads perform their work. Because there is no pneumatic noise or wear from air cylinders, the 100DS dramatically reduces both energy consumption and long-term maintenance cost.
The 100DS operates on a spatial cam mechanism. The input shaft drives a globoidal cam whose curved rib profile engages a ring of evenly spaced needle rollers on the output turret. As the cam rotates, it advances the turret through one station, then the flat dwell section of the cam profile holds the turret locked while the cam continues rotating. This self-locking characteristic eliminates the need for external brakes or clamps and guarantees repeatable angular positioning cycle after cycle.
