Designed for continuous multi-shift operation, the 180DF combines robust construction with a positive mechanical station lock that keeps dials rigid under load. This reliability makes it a preferred platform for high-volume assembly and processing cells.
The motor rotates a globoidal cam that engages the flange output's needle rollers, advancing the dial through a fixed sequence of stations. During each dwell, the cam's flat section seats against the rollers, mechanically locking the station while tooling performs its operation.

A cam indexer converts continuous motor rotation into precise intermittent (stop-and-go) rotary motion. A hardened globoidal cam engages needle roller followers on the output turret, advancing it one station per revolution and mechanically locking it during dwell — no electronic feedback, sensor, or brake is required.
