TUNGSTEN MAN adopts standardised, precise and industrial-grade production procedures for all tungsten carbide inserts. Every manufacturing step is strictly controlled to guarantee high hardness, high wear resistance, high dimensional accuracy and stable performance of finished tools. The complete production process is detailed as follows: 1. Raw Material Inspection
All raw materials, including ultra-fine nano-grade tungsten carbide powder and cobalt powder, undergo strict incoming inspection before production. Our quality team tests raw material purity, particle size distribution, density and chemical composition to ensure all materials meet international manufacturing standards. Only qualified raw materials are allowed to enter the production line, which fundamentally guarantees the stability and durability of carbide inserts. 2. Material Mixing & Grinding
Qualified tungsten carbide powder and bonding materials are proportioned according to professional formulas. The materials are put into precision grinding and mixing equipment for long-term uniform wet grinding. This process ensures even mixing of raw materials, uniform particle fineness and consistent material activity. The optimised mixing procedure effectively improves the compactness, hardness and toughness of the final carbide products. 3. Compression Pressing
After mixing and drying, the qualified composite powder is transferred to high-precision automatic pressing machines. According to different insert models and dimensional standards, the powder is pressed into standardised compact blanks with uniform density and stable shape. Strict pressure control and mould precision management ensure consistent blank size, no deformation and no structural defects, laying a solid foundation for subsequent sintering moulding. 4. High-temperature Sintering
The pressed carbide blanks are placed in professional high-temperature vacuum sintering furnaces for integrated sintering treatment. Through precise temperature curve control and constant temperature holding, the internal structure of the carbide blank is fully densified, eliminating internal gaps and microdefects. High-temperature sintering greatly improves the overall hardness, wear resistance, impact resistance and structural stability of tungsten carbide inserts, achieving the physical performance required for industrial cutting. 5. Precision Surface Treatment
After sintering, the carbide inserts undergo precision surface grinding, edge trimming, flatness correction and deburring treatment. Professional equipment is used to process the insert surface, cutting edge, rake face and flank face strictly in accordance with tolerance standards. This process ensures ultra-high dimensional accuracy, smooth surface finish and sharp and durable cutting edges, meeting high-precision machining requirements. 6. Professional Coating Processing
According to customer usage scenarios and machining demands, we perform professional coating treatment on carbide inserts, including CVD and PVD coating technologies. Multi-layer composite coatings such as TiN, TiCN, AlTiN are applied to the insert surface. The coating process effectively enhances surface hardness, high-temperature oxidation resistance, friction resistance and anti-sticking performance, significantly extending the service life of cutting tools and improving machining efficiency. 7. Finished Product Inspection
All coated and finished inserts undergo full-range, strict quality inspection. We check dimensional tolerance, surface flatness, edge precision, coating uniformity, hardness and appearance defects one by one. High-precision testing instruments are used for professional data verification. Unqualified products are screened out and eliminated strictly, ensuring 100% qualified rate of delivered products. 8. Vacuum Packaging
After passing the final inspection, qualified carbide inserts are cleaned and dried thoroughly. Then we adopt dust-proof, moisture-proof and anti-collision professional vacuum packaging and independent box packaging. Standard labelling is carried out with clear product model, specification, batch number and production information to avoid oxidation, scratch and damage during transportation and storage. 9. Shipment & Delivery
All packaged products are sorted, counted and stored in standardised warehouses. Before shipment, we conduct secondary checking and arrange safe and efficient logistics transportation.
