VBMT-TM is a 35° rhombic positive-rake indexable turning insert with TM chipbreaker designed for steel semi-finishing applications. The 5° positive clearance provides sharp cutting edges and low cutting force, delivering stable chip evacuation for profiling, OD turning and ID boring operations.
Its smooth arc chipbreaker prevents chip buildup and workpiece scratching, making it well suited for automated batch production. The insert handles continuous and light interrupted cutting, covering semi-finishing and light roughing of steel and cast iron.
