CCMT-TM is an 80° rhombic single-sided indexable carbide turning insert featuring a professional TM precision chipbreaker. Available in both PVD and CVD coating versions, this insert is engineered for various semi-finishing applications. The 80° rhombic geometry delivers balanced nose strength and broad machining adaptability, effectively preventing edge chipping and excessive wear while supporting profiling, inner and outer diameter turning, and facing operations.
The optimized TM chipbreaker reduces cutting resistance and ensures smooth chip evacuation with stable chip control, preventing chip accumulation and workpiece entanglement. The PVD coating offers low friction, excellent edge toughness, and anti-adhesion performance, effectively preventing built-up edge and edge chipping for stainless steel and light-duty precision machining. The CVD coating features a thick wear-resistant layer with superior high-temperature and abrasion resistance, making it ideal for heavy-duty continuous semi-finishing of carbon steel and alloy steel.
