Automotive Systems (Brake Valves, ABS Valves, Fuel Valves)

1. Application Scope

• Brake valves control vehicle braking pressure to achieve deceleration and parking.
• ABS valves are core components of the anti-lock braking system, preventing wheel lock during braking and improving braking safety.
• Fuel valves control fuel delivery and cut-off to ensure normal engine fuel supply.
• Air conditioning valves regulate the cooling and heating flow of automotive air conditioners.

2. Core Features

• High strength and high precision, able to withstand vibration and shock during vehicle operation (vibration frequency: 20–2000 Hz) without deformation or damage.
• High-temperature and corrosion resistance: valve bodies near the engine must withstand temperatures above 150 °C, resisting erosion from fuel and brake fluid.
• Fast response: response time of brake valves and ABS valves reaches the millisecond level for timely and accurate braking.
• High overall reliability and long trouble-free operating life, meeting automotive driving safety requirements.

3. Processing Precautions

• Material selection must meet standards. Aluminum alloy or forged steel is preferred for brake valves and ABS valves. Aluminum alloy is lightweight and high-strength; forged steel features high impact resistance and load capacity. Tensile strength and yield strength must comply with automotive specifications.
• High precision of hole systems: coaxiality of through holes and threaded holes on the valve body must be controlled within ±0.003 mm, and aperture tolerance ≤ ±0.005 mm, to ensure assembly accuracy of valve cores and pipelines and avoid affecting braking and fuel supply performance.
• Complete surface treatment: anti-rust processes such as anodizing, galvanizing and electrophoretic coating are adopted to improve corrosion resistance and prevent rust or damage from rainwater and dust. Anodizing layer thickness must be ≥ 10 μm.
• Precise matching between valve core and valve body: no clearance or jamming. Brake valves and ABS valves must have excellent sealing performance to avoid leakage of brake fluid and fuel. Precision grinding is required after machining to improve fitting of mating surfaces.
• Post-processing tests: vibration test, high-temperature test, sealing test and durability test must be performed to ensure stable and trouble-free operation under extreme vehicle conditions, meeting automotive-grade reliability requirements.

4. Selection Guidelines

• Must have automotive-grade certification, such as ISO/TS 16949 automotive industry quality system certification, and comply with OEM technical standards. Non-automotive-grade products must be avoided to prevent safety risks.
• Must meet high-temperature and anti-vibration requirements, withstand high temperatures near the engine and severe vibration during driving without deformation or leakage. Response time of brake valves and ABS valves must be ≤ 5 ms for timely, accurate and non-lagging braking.
• Prioritize OEM or first-tier quality valve bodies. These products pass strict factory inspection, with good compatibility, high reliability and long service life. Poor-quality aftermarket products should be avoided due to high failure risk and potential safety hazards.
• Inspect surface treatment: no scratches, oxidation or rust; clear interface threads; smooth valve core movement. Verify product parameters to ensure pressure and flow ranges match the vehicle model.
