Application of Stainless Steel Rivets in Window and Door Systems

• Connection of handles, hinges to window frames and sashes

   

  Securely fix critical hardware such as handle bases, hinges and pivots to aluminum alloy or PVC profiles. They provide high clamping force, withstand frequent opening and closing forces over the long term, and prevent loosening.
   
• Assembly of transmission components

   

  Used for connecting internal transmission components such as multi-point locks, transmission rods, keepers, transmission strips and corner drives, ensuring rigidity and stable operation of the transmission mechanism.

1. Core Material and Manufacturing Process

• High-strength alloys: High-grade zinc alloy, aluminum alloy or stainless steel (cast / forged) should be used for high-quality handles, transmission rods, keepers and other key components. These materials feature a dense internal structure and high strength, resisting deformation and fracture during long-term use.
• Key load-bearing components: Load-bearing arms and connecting shafts of hinges must be made of stainless steel (e.g., 304 stainless steel). Its strength and corrosion resistance are essential to prevent sagging and ensure smooth operation for many years.

• Visual inspection: Uniform color, solid texture, free of burrs and sagging.
• Scratch resistance: No obvious marks after slight scratching with a hard object (e.g., key).
• Corrosion resistance: Excellent performance in salt spray tests, ensuring no rust or discoloration in humid environments.

2. Structural Design and Load-Bearing Capacity

• Multi-point locking design: More lock points (3-point, 5-point or above) ensure more uniform compression, better sealing performance and stronger wind pressure resistance.
• Lock point / keeper structure: Hook-type or mushroom-shaped lock points matched with robust metal keepers are recommended. This design effectively resists wind pressure and prevents the sash from being blown open or sucked open, offering superior durability and safety compared with simple fork-type lock points.

• Transmission rods: Solid steel with internal reinforcing ribs, resisting deformation and jamming under repeated operation.
• Handle: Internal multi-tooth precision gear structure, providing clear, smooth and backlash-free rotation. Low-quality handles have thin gears that wear easily, leading to loosening or failure.

3. Details of Key Components

• Bearings: High-quality sliding bearings or needle bearings are mandatory for silent, smooth and durable operation. Test by repeatedly opening and closing to check for light, consistent movement without jamming.
• Adjustability: High-quality hinges provide 3D adjustment (vertical, horizontal, depth), allowing fine-tuning during installation and after long-term use to compensate for settlement or deformation, ensuring consistent sealing.

• All screws and rivets connecting frames and sashes must be stainless steel to prevent rust seizing and facilitate future maintenance.
• Connections between hardware and profiles must be firm and free of looseness.
