② Features of linear bearings
1.The linear ball bearing comprises an outer race, a retainer, balls, and end rings. The retainer, housed within the outer race, features three or more rows of elliptical ball tracks that enable continuous ball circulation with minimal friction. The end rings secure the retainer at both ends of the outer race.
2.One side of the parallel straight sections of the elliptical ball tracks is open, allowing the balls to contact the shaft surface. This design permits unlimited back-and-forth ball movement along the tracks in response to the shaft’s linear reciprocating motion. Consequently, the retainer not only guides the rolling motion but also prevents ball displacement when the bearing is disengaged from the shaft.
