This precision aluminum housing is manufactured by removing material from solid aluminum blocks through CNC milling, not die casting. The solid stock machining ensures dense material structure without pores or shrinkage cavities, delivering superior mechanical strength and stable dimensional accuracy.

We mainly process 6061 and 7075 aluminum alloy. 6061 aluminum features good machinability, moderate hardness and excellent corrosion resistance, widely used for general industrial assemblies. 7075 aluminum is high-strength aerospace grade alloy, suitable for scenarios requiring high load and lightweight performance.

Our 5-axis CNC equipment can process complex internal cavities, multi-angle mounting holes and contoured profiles in one clamping setup, reducing assembly error. Every edge will be fully deburred to eliminate sharp cutting edges. Multiple surface treatments are optional: keep raw machined silver finish, or apply sandblasting and anodizing to improve wear resistance and anti-corrosion performance.

Q1: What is the difference between CNC machined aluminum and die-cast aluminum?

A1: Our housing is milled from solid aluminum billet. Die casting injects molten aluminum into molds. CNC solid machining has no air holes, better material density and much tighter tolerance, but higher cost. Die casting is suitable for simple large-volume parts with low precision requirement.

Q2: Which aluminum alloy material should I choose for my project?

A2: 6061 aluminum: Good balance of machinability, strength and anti-corrosion, cost-effective for most automation equipment. 7075 aluminum: High tensile strength, aerospace-grade, perfect for high-stress, lightweight applications. Stainless steel: Higher hardness, great corrosion resistance, but slower machining and higher price.

Q3: What tolerance can your CNC machining achieve?

A3: Normal tolerance ±0.02mm. For precision requirement, we can reach ±0.005mm. Tolerance depends on material and part structure, we will confirm based on your drawing.

Q4: What surface treatments can you provide for this aluminum housing?

A4: Options: As machined (original cutting texture), manual deburr, polishing, sandblasting, clear/black anodizing. Anodizing can protect aluminum from oxidation and scratch.

Q5: Can you produce parts from my 3D drawings? What file types do you accept?

A5: Yes, we accept STEP, IGES, STL, DWG and PDF files. Send your drawing with dimension & tolerance requirements, we will check manufacturability and quote.

Q6: Can I order a prototype first before mass production?

A6: Yes, we support 1pc prototype order for testing. After prototype verification, we can proceed mass production with stable quality control.
