The Amphenol Information Communications and Commercial Products SAS/PCIe 4.0 (U.2&U.3) connectors are designed for high-speed multi-protocol applications, supporting PCIe lanes at 16GT/s and SAS lanes at 24Gb/s. The 68-position receptacle and header enable the implementation of high-speed Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drive (HDD) interfaces as well as Peripheral Component Express (PCIe)-based devices. Features like molded guide posts for self-alignment, halogen-free high-temperature thermoplastic construction, and a durability of 500 mating cycles ensure robust performance and reliability in diverse conditions. They are backward compatible with older SAS generations and support a variety of storage devices, offering flexibility for both cost-effective and high-performance applications.
