The Amphenol ICC UltraPort SFP+ interconnect system is a low-cost, compact, and flexible solution designed for 28Gb/s applications. It features a 20-position hot-swappable I/O connector within a metal cage, compatible with SFP+ form factors for shared mating interfaces and EMI cage dimensions. This system supports next-generation Ethernet and Fibre Channel applications while maintaining backward compatibility with previous generation systems. The connector accepts multiple transceivers per INF-8081, enabling combined transmit and receive functions. Available in various cage configurations, including stacked (2xN) versions, and offered in press-fit or solder tail options, the UltraPort SFP+ is suitable for server and switch applications requiring cost-optimized solutions. Target markets include cellular infrastructure, telecommunications hardware, servers, storage, test and measurement equipment, and medical diagnostic equipment.
