Amphenol's SFP connector series is a 20-position connector and cage combo designed for mounting to a host PCB. These connectors feature a metal cage enclosing the connector and are smaller than Gigabit Interface Converters (GBICs) while supporting significantly faster data transfer rates. The single port version is rated up to 4.125 Gbps, and the stacked version up to 8 Gbps. They are available in standard RoHS compliant or non-RoHS compliant versions. The cages are a one-piece construction with enhanced transceiver mating tabs, available in press-fit versions, with solder versions and custom pin length options also available. The SFP connectors are utilized in applications such as Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, InniBand, servers, routers, storage devices, switches, optical devices, and networking devices.
