Original-System Compatibility
Read by an IMMFP01/02 or IMLMM02 over the slave expander bus using FC84. Manufacturer documentation lists NTDI01/NIDI01 termination and NKTU01, NKTM01 or NKTU02 cable arrangements. Inputs 7/8 and 15/16 share commons by pair and must use the same voltage source.

Historical Replacement
ABB identifies SPDSI22 as the Harmony Rack replacement. The later SD-series path depends on voltage class (DI01/DI02/DI03/DI04); no single SD module covers every mixed high- and low-voltage combination.
Match the FC84 address and every voltage/response jumper, observe the shared-common pairs, and connect the specified termination and cable. Control field energy under the site's electrical-safety procedure even when rack hot insertion is permitted.
02Can SPDSI22 replace IMDSI02?
ABB identifies it as the Harmony Rack replacement. Confirm the field-voltage schedule, shared commons, termination, address and controller database before migration.
03What should be configured for IMDSI02?
Set the module address, per-input voltage and fast/slow response selection, and review FC84 specification S3 because it determines whether the master trips or continues after a slave failure.
04How should IMDSI02 be maintained and protected from ESD?
Use a grounded wrist strap and antistatic packaging. At scheduled maintenance, check field and ground connections, remove dust with static-safe equipment and compare LED, controller and measured-voltage status.
05What delivery and warranty support is available for IMDSI02?
Each unit is function-checked where suitable test facilities are available and packed in an antistatic bag with protective cushioning. DOA, return and exchange requests are handled under the written order terms after evidence and technical evaluation. Warranty covers confirmed supply defects during the agreed period, excluding misuse, incorrect installation, ESD damage, improper storage and unauthorized repair.
