Initial Charging
After first power-up, or after the system has been powered down long enough to completely discharge the Energy Pack, several seconds may be required for it to charge to operating level.
CPU Status LED
During the charging period described above, the CPU STATUS LED blinks green.
Time-of-Day Clock
Removal of the Energy Pack does not cause the CPU to lose its Time-of-Day value because the TOD clock is powered by the Real-Time Clock battery.
Conditional Flash Power-Up
With Conditional–Flash configured, if the Energy Pack is disconnected or has failed, flash contents are loaded into RAM at power-up.

Mounting position
The Energy Pack mounts on the left side of an RX3i module. When installed on a module in slot 0, the manufacturer notes that it extends approximately 13 mm beyond the left side of the backplane.
Connection
The specified connection to the CPU uses the IC695CBL001 Energy Pack cable.
