It is engineered to control the acceleration, constant-speed travel, deceleration and stopping of compatible elevator traction motors. The drive supports both induction and permanent-magnet motor technologies, making it suitable for geared elevators, gearless systems and modernization projects.

This drive is intended for compatible passenger elevators, freight elevators, traction lifts and elevator-modernization systems. System compatibility depends on motor current, motor type, encoder interface, mechanical brake, elevator controller, rated speed and acceleration profile.
A drive with the same 15 kW rating is not automatically interchangeable. Verify CIMR-LB4A0031FAA against the complete nameplate and check the encoder feedback card, motor feedback signals, safety logic, brake contactor sequence and regenerative-braking equipment. Motor autotuning and ride-quality adjustment should be completed by qualified elevator-drive personnel.
