Product Overview

The Schneider Electric LMC300CAA10000 is the basic controller configuration in the PacDrive 3 LMC300 motion-controller range. It combines PLC logic, synchronized motion control, industrial communication and local I/O processing in one cabinet-mounted controller. The unit can control up to 8 coordinated servo axes through the Sercos real-time motion network.

LMC300CAA10000 is the complete commercial reference. LMC300 is the controller family designation and should not be used alone when selecting a replacement. This basic version does not include an additional option communication module or an integrated UPS.

The LMC300CAA10000 is designed for PacDrive 3 automation systems requiring up to 8 synchronized servo axes. Typical applications include packaging machines, filling and labeling equipment, printing and converting machinery, material-handling systems, robotic stations and automated assembly lines.

The controller can operate with compatible Sercos servo drives, distributed I/O, CANopen devices, Ethernet equipment and machine peripherals. Compatibility must be confirmed by the installed controller project, firmware, CompactFlash contents and complete machine configuration.

Maintenance and Replacement Notes

Before replacing an existing controller, verify the complete model, commercial reference, nameplate, hardware revision, firmware and controller project. Back up the CompactFlash card and machine program before removing the original controller. Confirm the Sercos network topology, Ethernet settings, CANopen configuration, serial interfaces, digital and analog I/O assignments and cable set.

This basic version should not be replaced automatically by an LMC300 model containing a CAN, Profibus DP, RT-Ethernet or integrated UPS option. Also verify the connected servo drives, motor matching, brake option, encoder type and shaft configuration at machine-system level.
