The silicone one-way air return valve is the perfect solution. The valve is a small, self-contained component with a flexible silicone diaphragm that rests against a precision seat. When the bottle is inverted and poured, the liquid flows out. When the bottle is righted, the slight negative pressure in the headspace, combined with the natural rebound of the silicone, lifts the diaphragm slightly, allowing a small, controlled volume of air to enter the bottle. The silicone valve is press-fitted into a port in the bottle cap or neck insert. When the consumer tilts the bottle to pour, the liquid flows out through the main dispensing opening.
