The DPT-8 Series is a high-sensitivity penetrant testing (PT) kit engineered for non-destructive testing (NDT) of welds, metal surfaces, and non-metallic components. It reliably reveals surface-open defects such as welding cracks, fatigue cracks, stress corrosion cracks, grinding cracks, and quenching cracks — supporting the safety and service life assessment of pressure vessels and critical structures.
Among non-destructive testing methods, penetrant testing applies to both metallic and non-metallic components. It detects surface-open defects that threaten pressure vessel safety and service life, including welding cracks, fatigue cracks, stress corrosion cracks, grinding cracks, and quenching cracks.
The method offers high sensitivity for open-surface flaw inspection, fast test results, good repeatability, and clear, intuitive defect display. The DPT-8 series maintains high detection performance with either water-washable or solvent-removal processing.
Widely used in chemical, shipbuilding, railway, petroleum, heavy machinery, metallurgy, and pressure vessel industries. It is applied to penetrant flaw inspection of castings, forgings, plates, bars, and other metal raw materials, as well as large components and structures — achieving Class 2 sensitivity even on rough surfaces.
