Product Features & Engineering Advantages
Critical Component for Engine Longevity: The oil pump is the heart of the engine lubrication system, drawing oil from the oil pan and forcing it under pressure through oil galleries to rotating bearings, sliding pistons, and the camshaft.
Precision Gear Design: Features precision-engineered gears that ensure consistent oil flow and pressure regulation for uninterrupted engine lubrication.
High-Pressure Performance: Engineered to deliver high-pressure oil to components requiring regular lubrication, maintaining adequate oil pressure even under heavy load conditions.
Robust Construction: Manufactured from high-strength cast iron alloy housing with hardened steel gears, built to withstand extreme combustion pressures and temperatures.
Direct Crankshaft Drive: Engineered for direct drive from the crankshaft via the engine gear train, ensuring positive and reliable operation whenever the engine is running.
OEM-Compliant Specifications: Manufactured to meet or exceed original Mitsubishi specifications for the 4M50 engine series.
Compatible with Various Engine Configurations: Suitable for both naturally aspirated and turbocharged (4M50T) engine variants.
Multiple Condition Options Available: Available as brand new aftermarket units or professionally remanufactured pumps.
Quality Assurance
100% Tested: Every oil pump undergoes functional testing to ensure proper pressure and flow characteristics before shipment.

Installation Note
The oil pump is typically located at the front of the engine inside the timing gear case. When installing a new oil pump on a Mitsubishi 4M50 engine, follow these critical steps:
Place the No.1 cylinder piston at top dead center to bring the crankshaft gear to the appropriate position.
Inject approximately 5 cm³ (0.3 cu. in.) of engine oil into the pump for priming.
Align the mating marks on the crankshaft gear and balance shaft gear with the corresponding mating marks on the oil pump gear.
After installation, turn the oil pump gear by hand and check that it rotates smoothly. Disassemble and reassemble if it does not rotate smoothly.
Always inspect the oil pickup tube O-ring and screen for debris during installation. Professional installation is recommended due to the precision required for proper alignment and sealing. Regular oil changes with the correct viscosity oil will extend the life of both the oil pump and the engine.
Warning: Never operate the engine without verifying proper oil pressure after pump replacement. Low oil pressure can cause immediate and severe engine damage.
