FM200 (HFC-227ea) is a colorless, tasteless, non-corrosive, and electrically insulating gas that leaves no residue or pollution after extinguishing. Its Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) is zero, making it an environmentally friendly extinguishing agent. These properties allow it to be used safely in special locations where electrical fires are likely to occur.
Combined with the extinguishing device and electronic accessories, the entire system can be actuated automatically. It monitors the protective region through detectors and can start the extinguishing device via a solenoid actuator automatically. The whole system therefore achieves full automation, eliminating the risk of an unnoticed fire and saving the cost of employing personnel to supervise the protected area.
Management of multiple zones is also under the safe control of the whole system. A single system can protect multiple zones through selective valves, allowing the system to target different protective zones alternately. Agent is discharged only into the zone where the fire occurs, ensuring highly efficient fire suppression in a short time. Note that a small room should be prepared as storage space for the entire system.
Suitable for electronic computer rooms, data processing centers, expensive medical equipment, industrial equipment, libraries, museums and art galleries, clean rooms, anechoic chambers, emergency power facilities, and flammable liquid storage areas.
Also ideal for locations where fires are likely to occur, such as paint-spraying production lines, aging electrical equipment, rolling machines, printing machines, oil switches, oil-immersed transformers, melt impregnating tanks, storage tanks, large generators, drying equipment, cement production processes involving pulverized coal, and ship engine rooms and cargo holds.
The system is highly efficient for protecting your property. As a complete system, it includes an extinguishing device that suppresses fire in a short time — specifically, in under 10 seconds. This means the entire agent charge is discharged rapidly, achieving full flooding of the protected area. In addition, a time-delay mechanism of approximately 2 minutes provides ample time to evacuate people from the hazardous location when a fire occurs.
A single system can keep multiple zones under protective control, delivering significant cost savings for large facilities with multiple protected areas.
